Lord of Life Preschool and Kindergarten Academy is a program dedicated to providing a quality early childhood program supported within an atmosphere of love and acceptance. Lord of Life Academy is an academic Preschool thru 1st Grade program designed to incorporate the latest in early childhood learning research in a Christian, anti-bias, multi-cultural, safe and nurturing classroom environment.
The program we pursue is based on Gardner’s Theories of Multiple Intelligence (MI) which addresses verbal- linguistic, math-logic, spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalist learning modes. The fact that these intelligences can be nurtured and strengthened has a monumental influence on how children should be taught for maximum learning, understanding, and achievement. The underlying framework for the use of MI in the kindergarten classroom is knowing and being aware of these different learning modes and thoroughly incorporating them in the curriculum taught, in the method of teaching, as well as in the total classroom environment.
